The agreement between you and Trembli when you use our service. Please read it carefully — it explains what we do, what we don't, and what we expect from each other.
Last updated: April 2026💙 The short version: Trembli is a friendly SMS companion for older adults — not a medical service or an emergency line. Use it kindly. Cancel anytime. In an emergency, always call 911.
Trembli is a service operated by Staten Holdings LLC, a New York limited liability company doing business as Trembli ("Trembli", "we", "us", or "our"). By signing up for, paying for, or using Trembli (the "Service"), or by allowing a family member to use it on your behalf, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
If you are setting up Trembli for an older adult in your family, you confirm that you have their permission to share their phone number with us and to receive wellness information about them through the family dashboard.
Trembli is an AI-powered SMS companion designed for older adults. The Service includes:
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes that affect your use of the Service.
⚠️ Trembli is a companion service. It is NOT a medical device, healthcare provider, mental-health professional, or emergency response service. Do not rely on Trembli for medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency help.
If you or your loved one is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number) immediately.
If you or your loved one is in emotional crisis or experiencing thoughts of self-harm, call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline in the United States), or contact your local crisis line.
Reminders sent by Trembli are a helpful nudge, not a substitute for medical supervision. The senior, their family, and their healthcare providers remain responsible for medication management, appointments, and overall care.
Our distress-detection feature is a best-effort safety net based on pattern matching. It may miss real distress, or surface false positives. Family caregivers should not rely solely on these alerts to monitor a loved one's wellbeing.
You must be at least 18 years old to sign up for Trembli or to manage an account on behalf of an older adult. The senior who uses the Service should be capable of sending and receiving text messages and of understanding that they are conversing with an AI companion.
You are responsible for keeping your dashboard password secure and for any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
You agree not to use Trembli to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Trembli delivers messages through standard SMS. Message and data rates may apply from your wireless carrier. Trembli is not responsible for any carrier charges incurred by sending or receiving messages.
Message frequency varies based on how often the senior chooses to chat and how many reminders are scheduled. The senior may stop messages at any time by replying STOP, and resume by replying START.
Trembli is offered on a recurring subscription basis at the price displayed on our pricing page at the time of sign-up. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
All fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. Taxes, where applicable, are added to the subscription price.
If a payment fails, we may suspend the Service after a reasonable grace period until payment is restored.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from the family dashboard or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; the Service remains active until then.
After cancellation, you may request deletion of all data associated with your account at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Replies sent by Trembli are generated by a large language model. While we work hard to make them warm, helpful, and accurate, AI responses may occasionally be incorrect, incomplete, or out of context. You should not rely on AI-generated replies as a source of medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that conversation content is generated by AI and may not reflect the views of Trembli or its team.
The Trembli name, logo, software, website, and all related materials are the property of Trembli and its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.
You retain ownership of any content you or your loved one submit through the Service (such as personal information shared in conversation). You grant Trembli a limited licence to store and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trembli disclaims all warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that messages will always be delivered on time. Carrier networks, third-party providers, and system maintenance can affect delivery.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Trembli, its officers, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising out of your use of the Service.
Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid to Trembli in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars ($100), whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the limitations above may not apply to you.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the dashboard. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
